HAHA i couldnt help but laugh a bit when i read the description of this group n had to join... CRITISIZED???? haha constantly ive been called anything frm a loser to a devil worshipper.. whatever the case its my prerogative. ive been a metalhead for over 30yrs n idc what others think or read or assume. Metal has always been my sanctuary through both good n bad. ive learned to turn the other cheek n to not take their ignorance so seriously.

My family does not care or think badly about me, I'm lucky for that. Unfortunately, no one in my family feels the same way about metal that I do. Some of them like some of the songs that I play, but that's as far as it goes.
The odd thing is that more kids who listen 2 Hip Hop, Rap and all that shit lead a life of crime and drugs and murder than kids who listen 2 metal! Thousands of kids r stabbing each other 2 death in my country but when its a kid that listens 2 Metal it makes the front page of every news paper! Slipknot did NOT tell him 2 kill that kid!!!

I live in South Africa and a kid killed 2 other guys in his skwl while wearing a Mick Thompson mask! now the entire country is against Slipknot and my English teacher crapped on me 2day becuz I was defending them! She said that all people hav a dark side but they shouldnt show that side of them by wearing masks or doing anything dark for that matter... I compleatly disagree i feel that iff u dont get that anger and darkness out of u thru the music we all love u may vry well end up killing kids with a samurai sword wearing a mask!

Because its good music, not mass-produced mish-mash produced for the lowest possible common denominator. i took a bunch of shit today at school for my love of Iron Maiden, teacher was playing songs on the computer for the class to listen to and kids were requesting a bunch of garbage so i requested The Trooper and had to fight with him for like 5 minutes with him over it while everyone else got a thumbs up and a sure i'll play that...
