Have you guys read Hunter Hunt-Hendrix's Transcendental Black Metal Manifesto yet? I'll post a link once I find a good one. Basically, it says that old black metal isn't transcendental because it is nihilistic and negative, and that through an adaptation of positive aesthetics, black metal can become transcendental. I personally don't know what he's talking about. Black metal is the most positive and truly spiritually transcendental thing to come out of music in almost the whole 20th century and it is because of its total rejection of modernity(often perceived as negativity), which includes HHH's nerdy rock band Liturgy.
Now that we're on that topic, what did you guys think of the Hideous Gnosis discussions in general?
