About me
Hello there, Metalheads!
I created this piece of blog to introduce myself a little to you guys, so have fun:
Music addict
I have a huge addiction to music, both listening to it and performing it. I still buy physical media and just can't get myself to buy digital music. I have over 1,000 CDs and most of it is Metal, Punk, Alternative or some type of Rock N Roll. I do listen to Classical music as well and also have a couple of non rock related albums. I get so into some bands I will go out of my way to find out of print rare versions of albums and even singles just for non album tracks. I don't know what I would be into if I never got into music because music is all I have ever really loved. Even more than people which has made me extremely socially awkward. Anyway I just wanted to post a short blog explaining to everyone a small part of what I am.
How to be an open minded metalhead 101.
How to be a open minded metalhead 101: First off, the phrase " to each man his own" doesn't ring more true than to metalheads in general. Now, I'm not saying to go on ahead and forceably jam the mainstream radio hits. Cause quit frankly, I think we all can find another way to bleed our ears than listen to Nickleback. Am I right? Right then. I think the term "open minded" is a little blown off when refered to the metal community. People assume "oh, he says he likes other genres. Oh, he doesn's even know shit about ______."(insert sub-genre) Quite frankly, to be honest, sometimes even metalheads can be a little to quick to "jump the gun" on someone who they had the assumptions they were only into one genre or so. I think we all just need to be a little open minded as well before we consume the guy or friend when he says he like other genres than just Black Metal or Death Metal or even Hardcore. Shit even Metalcore! Maybe if we just nodded our head a little in agreement and attempted to start a conversation with them about it, you'd be surprised as to what the outcome could be. If it's mainstream, recommend a band or two to check out and get'em started. I know it's easy to hate sometimes on some dudes music if it's a little wack, but hey, we all didn't exactly start out the most brutal of fucks in the pits or venues/ bars. Maybe some of you all may have not saying all of us have/ were. To close, I think we should all just learn to coexist or at least tolerate one another. But typically speaking, metalheads are some the nicest people you'll ever meet. Cause no one likes a dick, and the world is full of those enough as it is.
Stay metal m/ and hope you all enjoyed reading this just for shits & giggles. My time is up, and hope to see you all next time I have something to blog about.
