i have just read about behemoth's front-man nergal who has been diagnosed with cancer and something jumped straight out of the page at me and that is the religious world have suggested that nergal is getting his punishment from god and that now he is ill he will convert to Christianity

my question to all of you good ppl on here is should religion be allowed to get away with saying things like this

There's a simple answer to your question - No! Most of the religious people are hard-edged hypocrites who are defending their ignorant minds with their so called "God". And one more thing - RELIGION IS NOT ABOVE CRITICISM! Fuck them. Let us pray to the Force that he'll get well.

No they shouldn't get away with that. I don't even understand why they say that period. If they really believed in God and have read the frickin bible than they would believe and know that God does not get people sick or punish people. Christians are such hypocrites. Most cancer is found to be genetic and thats why most people get it now of days. not because God is punishing them. Screw religious people and this is coming from someone who believes in God.

Once again religion spews its rhetoric,no i do not believe that this should be allowed i am in no way a religious person but from my understanding of the bible god was merciful.It is hard for me to believe that this is something that was intentionally done to Nergal.Btw since when do humans know the ways of god? This is a prime example of why i despise religion because all it is, is a manipulation a way of trying to control people.

Of course the shouldn't but that's religion for you that's why there are so many wars in the name of it. If you believe fine if you dont then fine also but don't push youre views on me either way.
If a muslim, jew, Christian or any other religion had some one dying with their belief and was told that this was wrong and they wee going to be punished because of it, then it would be on every news channel and threats of violence and reprisals would be flying around. Is that the case with Nergal, NO I THINK NOT, so whose beliefs are less offensive, ask me that?!!!!!
